Presentation Plan

Ideas

My first and main idea for how to layout my presentation is in the form of a book. I had thought about a magazine article but because my project is based around a journey and the various issues I encountered on the way I felt that this was not fitting. The reason for this is because magazine articles are always about a set issue or event, whereas my work is on separate events and different aspects of a main issue. By presenting my work in the form of a book I believe that it will best accompany the documentation of my journey and the issues accompanied with each place I visited. I also intend to individually print my images to present to the class in case they are hard to see in the book.

Research

I have looked into various different websites that allow you to design your own photobook and send it off for printing. This sites include, blurb, degreebooks, snapfish and photobox, all of which are well suited for my needs. However, as I have left this quite close to the deadline I do not think that sending one off to print is the best idea because looking at the time it would take to arrive I would be risking not having a book to present when it came to the deadline. 

After looking further into ways of creating a photobook I stumbled upon 'eBooks'. 'eBooks' are online books that can be created on the internet and shared through the internet. This was ideal as it would allow me to create and publish my book and not have to wait for delivery. I want to create an eBook as it is the easiest way in which I can present work in the time scale that I have left myself. Obviously I would prefer to design and publish my own book as it would be useful for the future when I need to show evidence of my work. Nonetheless, I have decided to go with the eBook and intend on producing 19-20 pages. 

Layout

I want the layout of my book to be simple and concise with the image on the right hand side and a little text to accompany each image on the left. I will have divide the book into sections: the intro, the south east, the south west and the summary. By doing this I hope to keep to the standard book design and allow for an understandable, easy to read book.
